Azelis buys in US F&F market
Azelis has agreed to acquire Vigon International, a speciality distributor and manufacturer of ingredients for the flavours, fragrances and cosmetics markets. The deal should close within Q2 and the Somers family, who previously owned Vigon, will continue to lead it.
Based in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Vigon employs 1,200 and markets flavours, natural and synthetic aroma chemicals, actives, functional ingredients and essential oils. Azelis executives said that acquiring it will bring new co-manufacturing and blending capabilities, as well as “a platform for future acquisitions of complementary businesses in the food ingredients segments”.

Peptides CDMO AmbioPharm, has broken ground on a 650 m2, $28 million expansion project at its Shanghai manufacturing site. This is due to be complete in 2H 2025 and will produce over 8 tonnes/year of crude peptide.
