Syensqo opening Italian labs
Syensqo has opened some new application development laboratories (ADLs) at Bollate, Italy, where it opened its ‘dry room’ laboratory for lithium batteries last year. They will focus on developing specialty polymers for applications in green mobility, energy-efficiency and sustainable sourcing, among others.
The project includes an expansion of 1,300 m2 in a new energy-efficient building and represents a €10 million investment over the past three years. The workforce at Bollate, which is part of a network of company ADLs in the US, South Korea, Japan, China and Belgium, will grow by 30% as a result.
