Exclusive negotiations for Schülke & Mayr sale
Air Liquide has entered into exclusive negotiations with EQT, a differentiated global investment firm with over €62 billion in raise capital, for the sale of its Schülke & Mayr subsidiary. The company had announced its intention to sell Schülke & Mayr in November 2019 as part of a strategy of focusing on its core gases and healthcare businesses.
Based in Germany with other production sites in France and Brazil, Schülke & Mayr is focused on infection prevention and hygiene. Its main produces antiseptics for wound care, disinfectants, medical and cosmetic skin care products and preservatives. It has 22 subsidiaries, employs about 1,250 and is active in over 100 countries.
Any final agreement is subject to regulatory approval and dialogue with employee representatives’ bodies. If it completed, the parties said, the EQT VIII fund “will further support Schülke & Mayr GmbH’s next phase of growth and its innovation development”.
