OCSiAl has opened its first European graphene nanotubes facility in Serbia. It will produce 60 tonnes/year under the Tuball band and the company plans to double this by launching a second synthesis unit within the next year. The modular design means it is able to scale production rapidly.
The 10,000 m2 plant includes a nanotube synthesis unit, dispersion and concentrate production lines, a research hub and quality control laboratories. The dispersion line can produce enough material for more than 4 million electric vehicles, while the concentrate line will supply nanotubes for conductive and enhanced composites and coatings.
