Indian acquisition for Barentz
Barentz International has acquired Anshul Life Sciences, an Indian speciality chemicals distributor to the pharmaceuticals, personal care and other markets. Terms were not disclosed. CEO Nagarajan Kailasam and the rest of the Anshul team will continue to manage the day-to-day business operations.
Barentz commented that this establishes a major life science distribution platform in India and should “open a realm of strategic opportunities for growth across the country and the broader Asia Pacific region”. Anshul adds more excipients, APIs and intermediates to its pharma portfolio while widening the personal care offer.
