Solenis chooses home turf for R&D expansion

Aided by $4 million in state grant funds, Solenis is to move its R&D operations to Building 713 at Chestnut Run Innovation & Science Park (CRISP, pictured) in its home state of Delaware. This $40 million expansion comes “in response to increasing market demand for its sustainability-focused products and expertise and with an eye toward long-term growth”, the company said.

The new facility will give Solenis 1,800 m² more lab space than the it currently has at its existing R&D centre on the Wilmington campus of its former parent firm, Ashland, and will enable it to take on 46 more people in the next three years. CRISP itself is a former DuPont campus that MRA Group is developing into a hub for a range of life sciences and advanced chemical companies.
