QPhos available from Sinocompound
Sinocompound Catalysts, a supplier of advanced homogeneous catalysts and ligands based in Zhangjiagang, China, has announced production of QPhos in kilogram quantities. Hitherto, the company said, its use in process development and scale-up has been hindered by the lack of commercial-scale capacity, despite its huge potential.
Sinocompound is continuing to expand its manufacturing processes at a new plant in Tongling. Developed by Professor John Hartwig for metal-catalysed cross-coupling reactions, QPhos is a robust dialkylarylphosphine ligand. It is bulky and electron-rich, performing very well in many transformations, including alpha-arylation of carbonyl compounds and late-stage C-C bond formation.
