Nitroguanidine expansion for AlzChem

AlzChem plans to “significantly increase” its nitroguanidine capacity, with a new production plant that will almost double the €76 million expansion it announced in the spring. It will also renew and expand its existing facilities for the precursor, guanidine nitrate, in what CEO Andreas Niedermaier called “the largest investment in our company’s history in Germany to date”.

AlzChem completes nitrile expansion

AlzChem, the only supplier of speciality nitriles outside China, has completed a €12 million expansion that took 15 months and will increase capacity by 50%. This is particularly targeted at the pharmaceutical and agrochemical markets and is expected to lead to additional sales of €10-20 million/year, depending on the product mix.
