Castor bean projected extended
Arkema, BASF, Jayant Agro-Organics, an Indian castor oil specialist, and civil society body Solidaridad are to extend their ongoing Pragati project in sustainable castor bean production for a further three years in order to reach more Indian farmers and end users. In particular, it aims to double the number of farmers participating in India’s Gujarat state to 7,000.

UPL takes Arysta from renamed Platform
Indian agrochemicals firm UPL has completed the acquisition of Arysta LifeScince from the Florida-based speciality chemicals conglomerate Platform Specialty Products, in a $4.2 billion deal that was signed in July 2018. This followed the last regulatory approvals.
Clariant to distribute Tamisolve NxG in agrochemicals
Clariant has signed an agreement to distribute Tamisolve NxG for Eastman Chemical under its own Genagen NBP trade name, using its formulation expertise alongside Eastman’s in active ingredients. Terms were not disclosed.
